Excellent thinking Connor! You used an array... and groups of repeated addition. As well as your doubles and triples. Your addition is clear and your mathematical strategies and thinking is correct! Top marks!
ReplyDeleteWe can double check this strategy to make sure the answer is correct by using a multiplication strategy.
You could time 17 x 10 = 170
and then 17 x 6 which is 60 + 42 = 102
Then add 170 to 102 ...
... is the answer still 272?
